The Riverside Inn offers fantastic accommodation and wonderful food in Aymestrey, deep in the heart of Herefordshire.

Our magnificent 16th Century black and white building is surrounded by the natural beauty of the River Lugg valley, ideal for country lovers looking for somewhere truly special to stay. We have a variety of beautifully refurbished rooms available, including some with gorgeous 400-year-old beams embedded in the walls. All the rooms come with luxurious facilities includes a flat-screen smart TV, Noble Isle toiletries, homemade biscuits, and tea and coffee making facilities. We have four types of rooms to choose from:

Suites: Our suites come with a delightful sitting area which enjoys stunning views over River Lugg or the Aymestrey countryside. All the rooms come with en suite facilities.

King: These rooms come with either a bath or shower.

Snug: This lovely room includes a comfy double bed and en suite facilities.

Garden Rooms: Our new garden rooms offer a quirky and private getaway which is ideal for couples. The rooms are accessed by a number of external steps and enjoy outstanding views over the river valley. One of the garden rooms comes with a small decking/patio area and another has a slightly larger decking area with garden furniture.

We offer a wonderful gastronomic experience. Everything is cooked freshly onsite. The kitchen places an emphasis on sustainability and ethically sourced produce and offers delicious dishes to make your mouth water. 

You can enjoy a drink or two at the bar which enjoys a traditional feel, with log fires, candles, soft seating, hops and oak beams creating a cosy feel. This is a great spot for a morning coffee or pre-dinner drinks. we offer a fantastic wine list and hand-pulled real ales.

The Bateman Arms was built in 1750 and today provides award-winning food and accommodation within the small village of Shobdon. It is the ideal stop-off for those travelling on business or leisure, with Leominster and Hereford being close.

There are 6 en suite rooms available which all include a TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast is included in the rates.

The menu offers plenty of choices using locally sourced ingredients.

Outside is a large garden which can also be used to host a special occasion.

This area is a haven for walking, cycling, fishing, and golfing. Alternatively, the historic city of Hereford is 18 miles away and where you will find plenty of amenities. There are also lots of interesting sites to visit such as Berrington Hall, Hampton Court, Hereford Cathedral, and Hereford Museum.
