Farthings dates from 1797 and today provides beautiful accommodation whilst retaining original character. It is located just outside the village centre of Shaldon. This is a great base for exploring the local area and the South West Coastal Path. 

There are 2 double bedrooms - 1 of which is en suite and a twin room available. They all include a TV and tea/coffee making facilities. A delicious full English breakfast is on offer as well as other options including kippers, smoked haddock and porridge.

The historic holiday town of Teignmouth is directly across the Teign estuary, linked by a bridge and a regular ferry from Shaldon river beach. Exeter and Torquay are also within easy travelling distance.

You can just walk across the promenade to the sandy beach, where you can sunbathe and swim. Alongside the Thornhill there is a heated public lido in contrast to the sea and sandy beach opposite. Long sunshine days and the mild climate of South Devon give rise to the title of The English Riviera of which Teignmouth is the heart.
