Ashbourne House offers excellent accommodation in the famous city of York. We are close to the city centre and on the main bus route which runs from York Train Station, making us a great base for exploring North Yorkshire.

Barriemore is a 4 star, 3 storey town house that offers luxurious guest accommodation on Oban’s seafront in Argyll. Our location gives us fantastic views of Oban Bay, the islands beyond and the harbour activity. We also are in a great spot for spotting various local wildlife. We are 0.6 miles from the town centre.

All guest rooms at Barriemore B&B are a thoughtful mix of the best of traditional style to compliment the house, along with modern convenience and comfort. We have 2 elegant ground floor rooms, one a Seaview superking suite for 2, the other a Seaview Premium superking double. Both of these rooms have fabulous wide views over Oban Bay. Other rooms are either Sea view superkings, Sea view Twin, or King rooms with woodland view. We also have Sea View family suite, a self catering 2 bed apartment that sleeps 4.

We can offer free parking for each room. Free WIFI throughout the building. All rooms ensuite.

The town centre is a delightful walk along the seafront Esplanade, or you can spend your day on our Sea view terrace with a cold drink and take in the magnificent views before you. In the evening the fabulous west coast sunsets are breath taking in their colour. Oban has many fantastic restaurants to chose from.

A short walk from Barriemore and you will find yourself at the stunning, ancient ruins of Dunollie Castle perched high on the hill in a perfect look out location. The site now has a museum, shop and coffee stop.
