The Cottage Hotel offers some of the most beautiful views of sea and coastline in the UK. It is only a mile from Salcombe and Kingsbridge at Hope Cove and is an ideal base for exploring South Devon. From ths hotel you can enjoy views of Bigbury Bay, Burgh Island, Rame Head near Plymouth and (with good visibility) even as far as St Austell in Cornwall. 

All bedrooms at the hotel have a flat screen TV, hair dryers, Wi-Fi and courtesy tea tray. Deluxe rooms include a DVD player. Guests are also welcome to enjoy the leisure facilities at the hotel.

In the morning a full English breakfast is served. There is also a comprehensive table d'hôte dinner and a supplementary menu (seasonal). On Sunday a three course lunch is available.

There are many beaches within walking distance such as South Milton Sands and Thurlestone Sands.

We also host special event breaks such as murder mystery weekends, painting, mosaic art courses and photography courses.

Overlooking Bigbury Bay, Burgh Island, Rame Head near Plymouth and, with good visibility, even as far as St Austell in Cornwall. You'll find the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing when you visit, and the grounds of two acres descend to the fine sandy beach making it convenient to bathe in safety from the hotel.

We offer a traditional English breakfast, comprehensive Table d'Hôte Dinner and a supplementary menu (seasonal). We use the finest fresh, local produce wherever possible and we offer a range of vegetarian dishes.

We also serve a limited bar lunch menu on a Sunday. This consists of soup, sandwiches, toasted sandwiches and chips. The menu is available from 12.00–2.00pm (last orders).

There are many beaches within walking distance such as South Milton Sands and Thurlestone Sands, and many secluded coves and beaches.

Whether you are staying for a long or short break, there are many activities to keep you entertained and places to visit: sailing from the Salcombe estuary; golfing at Dartmouth, Bigbury and Thurlestone Golf Clubs; bird watching and walking on nearby National Trust areas.
